How to Pack For Your Business Trip

We have experienced a recent heatwave, and the heat has turned up in terms of business travel. The warm season is one of the most popular times to travel, and not just for holidays! It can prove to be stressful to know how to prepare yourself, and no one loves to pack. Our ComCab team have provided their top tips on how to pack for your summer business trip!

Prepare your Travel Documents beforehand

The most important aspect of your business trip is getting there! Make sure that you have your travel tickets downloaded, whether it is for a train or flight, and print them if possible – you never know when your phone might fail you! This also applies to your hotel documents if you are staying overnight. There’s nothing worse than the panic when you cannot find these documents!

Clothes (Of course!)

Obviously, you will be bringing clothes on your trip, but make sure you bring the right clothes. Your most appropriate jacket and nice pair of shoes are important, but also bring something that fulfills the smart-casual look. You never know when you could have spontaneous drinks!

Laptop/Tablet

Our top tip for staying productive is to bring along a laptop or tablet with you. You may need to do some last-minute amends on a presentation or proposal and doing this can be a lifesaver. For those who don’t like the traditional pen and paper method of writing notes, a laptop or tablet can become very useful for this. (Ps – don’t forget your charger!)

Toiletries

Strong first impressions are the key to success in the business world. Pack your best toiletries so you look your best, you may be meeting an important client, and this can be a make-or-break moment on your trip.

Business Cards

To top the trip off, you can never go wrong by packing some business cards. In addition to handing them out to familiar faces, you never know who you may meet, and connecting with them could be valuable to your company. They are also essential if you are visiting a conference!
